Saint Louis University Fine and Performing Arts - Assistant

I assist the Fine and Performing Arts Coordinator in her daily tasks, which include creating promotional images for events on In Design and Power Point, posting posters around campus and getting the images approved by the university. I also handle cash transactions in the box office and assist with ticket sales. I attend bi-weekly publicity meetings in order to discuss promotional details for upcoming events.

Sprint Internship - Intern

I was responsible for collecting incoming contracts and organizing them into databases. I uploaded data to an online metadata system to improve future relocation of the documents. I worked on a group project that was geared at improving customer service.

Hispanic American Leadership Organization - Programming and Communication Chair

I planned and arranged the organization's events throughout the semester. This included reserving locations and equipment such as tables, decorations, tablecloths etc.

I also communicated with guests such as speakers or entertainment for events.

Honors

Kauffman Scholarship

This scholarship was awarded to me in the 7th grade. Throughout my academic career I have had to go to several programs and dedicate myself to keep this full ride scholarship. My sophomore year of high school I was a Kauffman Ambassador. I went to weekly meetings to discuss how the program could improve for students as well assist with the creation of another local scholarship program for highschoolers.

Psi Theta Communication Honors

Communication Honors is given to the top students in the communication department of SLU.

College of Arts and Sciences Social Media Committee

The committee met monthly to discuss marketing strategies for social media accounts such as Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. We also shared details about upcoming events and updates on specific departments such as Communication, Music, History etc. Facebook likes increased from 1,089 to 1,133 during my time on the committee. I was also involved in providing feedback which led to the creation of an Instagram and Snapchat account.

Hispanic American Leadership Organization -Vice President

I am the president's right-hand-man, I assist with all planning for events throughout the semester as well as organizing committees for these events that will then help with set up.
